2022 WCTI Annual Meeting

Peerless Industries And Micron Metals, LLC, Take Home The Gold

Peerless Industries and Micron Metals, LLC were awarded the 2021 WCTI Chairman’s Award at the 2022 WCTI Annual Meeting. The Chairman’s Award is presented to one large and one small Member who has shown exceptional safety performance as well as management of an outstanding safety program.  In order to qualify, a Member must achieve a loss ratio of less than 5%, attend at least 3 WCTI training sessions and achieve a Member safety audit Score of 90% or greater!  Congratulations to both of these Members!!

Several other Members went home with awards as well.  54 Members received the No Lost Time award and 8 Members were presented with the Safety Excellence award.  Great Northern Instore, LLC was awarded the Exemplary Safety Practice award.

Flexible Steel Lacing Company, Gold Eagle Company and Meaden Precision Machine Products celebrated 40 years of membership with the Trust!

Special recognition was also given to the 27 WCTI approved agents who play a vital role in the growth and retention of WCTI Membership.  Willis Towers Watson received the Sales Excellence Award.

Angie Blakeney, CCMSI, discussed the roles and responsibilities of the Loss Control, Finance and Claims Committee for WCTI.  The Committee Members are WCTI Trustees.  A review of payroll vs Standard Premium revealed that Standard Premium is decreasing at a higher rate than payroll.  The rapid decline in Standard Premium is a result of the reduction in WCTI rates passed along to the Members.

There were a variety of breakout sessions for Members to choose from at this year’s event.  Loss Control sessions included Continuous Improvement In Safety Programs and Training as well as OSHA Activity.  The claims session educated Members on Fraud Prosecution.  The remaining topics were Swaying Organization Change:  How to Discuss Drug Testing Safety + Fairness with Leadership, Adjustment Bill Review, Post Covid 19 Workplace and the Henry Pratt Shooting, What Was & What to Know.  All of the sessions received rave reviews.

It was so great to see everyone in person again.  Thank you for making this year’s meeting a huge success, we look forward to seeing you next year.
