This Train-the-Trainer session will assist WCTI members in learning how to avoid Slips, Trips and Falls.

Topics the speaker will discuss include the following and more:

• Behaviors Causing Slips, Trips and Falls
• Factors increasing the risk of Slips, Trips and Falls.
• Housekeeping Issues
• Working Shoes and Slip Resistance – what is proper footwear
• Flooring and Slip Resistance
• How to do a slip/fall hazard self-inspection program

SPEAKER INFORMATION

David McHenry is in Loss Control with CCMSI covering both Missouri and Illinois jurisdictions.  He has over 18 years of regulatory and safety experience in general business and transportation. He has served as the safety manager of an organization of over 8,000 persons at 49 locations in two states and also has served as a direct hands-on operations manager of medium operations of 100-120 employees. His regulatory experience includes DOT, OSHA, EPA, FAA, and FEMA.

With 26 years of military experience as a Master Sargent in the U.S. Army Reserve) David was the subject matter expert and lead instructor in the Midwest in the field of Psychological Operations. He also has a background in Military Intelligence and Interrogation.

David McHenry received the designation CHMM (Certified Hazardous Material Manager) in 1994 and has a Masters of Science in Aviation Safety, and another MS in Industrial Safety from the University of Central Missouri.

Lunch will be served at 11:45 AM and the Train-the-Trainer session will begin at 12:30 PM.
