The OSHA 10 hr. class is offered quarterly for anyone who wants more in-depth knowledge of the OSHA standards.  This class is organized and taught by Diane Rigsbee, Authorized OSHA Trainer.  The 10 hours are held in two separate classes so you must complete Session I first.  You have six months to complete the second half (Session II) in order to receive the OSHA 10 Hour card.

Topics covered in the first half are:

• Introduction to OSHA,
• Walking/Working Surfaces,
• Emergency Action Plans/Fire Prevention,
• Fire Extinguishers, and
• Hazard Communication.

The second half includes:

• Personal Protective Equipment,
• Electrical Safety Related Work Practices,
• Material Handling,
• Machine Guarding,
• Lockout/Tagout,
• Bloodborne Pathogens, and
• Hearing Conservation.

The cost involved is $8 cash per person and $15 per person by check payable to CCMSI; collected on the first day of class.  Hours are 8:15 am to 3 pm (first half) and 8:30 am to 3 pm (second half)
