It is time for the 2023 WCTI Annual Meeting!  This meeting is for you and for anyone in your organization who has responsibility for safety, claims or the financial aspect of your workers’ compensation program.  The following topics will be presented in breakout sessions.  Please refer to the emailed Annual Meeting invitation for more information and use the registration form below to make your selections.

There will be four Breakout Sessions held consecutively at 9:35 AM and at 11 AM.  Choose one at each time to attend.  Descriptions are below.

Adjustment Bills

CCMSI Underwriting and Accounting

  • How to interpret the Adjustment Bill and the Preliminary Adjustment Bill.
  • Early return of deposit held.

Significant OSHA Policy Changes

  • “Instance-by-instance” for cases where OSHA identifies “high gravity” serious violations, including lockout/tagout, machine guarding, permit-required confined space, respiratory protection, falls, trenching)
  • Increased authority to inspectors to “not group” violations and instead cite them separately
  • Changes to OSHA’s Severe Violator Enforcement Program (SVEP) and how you might be at risk for referral into this program
  • 2022 OSHA enforcement data and important case decisions

Workplace Fire Safety Annual Inspection Best Practices (Offered Twice)

  • Fire safety concerns present in many facilities
  • Interior and exterior inspection items and best practices
  • Storage conditions and concerns
  • Annual fire alarm / sprinkler / extinguisher tests
